Join Kia Ora Vancouver for our annual Waitangi Day event at The Blarney Stone in Gastown! Waitangi Day is a time for Kiwis and those with Kiwi connections to celebrate what it is to be a New Zealander, catch up, and have a good time.
Bring friends and whanau along to enjoy fine Kiwi food and drinks, indulge in a yarn, and sing along to some sweet as kiwi tunes. There will be live music, games, prizes to give away, and a great atmosphere for all to enjoy.
This quarter we feature Ben Lefler from Laughing Loggers – a full time lumberjack and proud Kiwi.
Each quarter Kia Ora Vancouver will be featuring Kiwis who have made Vancouver their new home. For our inaugural profile, we feature Bruce Wells.

Thursday, March 21st | Downtown Vancouver – Location TBC | 6.15 – 7.30 pm | As we all grapple with our emotions and shock, and in the realisation of what recently happened, we are organising a gathering where we can share, console, talk, hug and feel supported and be with our fellow New Zealanders and friends. This assembly is for those who want to join us in Kiwi songs and light candles in memory of the victims, their families and all the New Zealanders involved; this will be Kia Ora Vancouver’s way of remembering.
