About The Board

Our Board Directors all share a common goal – connecting Kiwis. We come from all areas of industry and business, are all professionals and volunteer our time.

Meet the Board
Shannon Crowley After growing up in Palmy and studying at Massey University,  Shannon lived in Australia and the UK before moving to Vancouver for the 2010 Winter Olympics. Initially only intending to stay for a year, now he calls Vancouver home with a Canadian wife and Caniwi (Canadian-Kiwi) son. Working in finance most of his life he now works for a banking technology company.  He is a jack of all trades for the Board but mainly focuses on sponsorships and events.

Top tip for newcomers: Vancouver is an amazing city make sure to experience the snow sports, summer hiking and beach activities like Volleyball. You have to try the sushi and get out and experience all the craft breweries they’re amazing.

Robyn Tucker-Peck Robyn is from Parnell, Auckland but has lived all over the world with her family and as a journalist. While working in the USA she met her Canadian husband on a bus at a Triathlon event in Muskoka, Ontario. After a long-distance courtship they married in Bermuda and moved to Vancouver via Hong Kong in 2012. Working in the Media all her career she works on Corporate Sponsorship, newsletter, and general legal issues for Kiaora Vancouver and is the lead for Air New Zealand.

Top Tip for Newcomers: Go mountain biking in Squamish, Run the Seawall and Stanley Park. Walk the full length of Robson Street and as you go check out the multitude of different authentic, cultural cuisine, Ramen Noodles, Korean BBQ, Taiwanese dessert, and Chinese Dim Sum.

Pei Huang Pei is the CTO of a Vancouver-based Salesforce consulting partner, specializing in complex and innovative projects for clients across North America. Originally from Wellington, Pei moved to Vancouver in 2014 to give the whole “working holiday” thing a try, and instead ended up staying a lot longer. He primarily assists the Board with technology related items such as the website, systems, and various initiatives.

Favourite thing about Vancouver: the proximity to so many great parks to enjoy the great outdoors.

Kylie Fisher Kylie is an elementary school teacher, working specifically with children with a wide range of learning difficulties. Kylie and her husband Ian moved to Vancouver in 2018 shortly after getting married. She primarily helps on the board with event planning and social media.

Favourite thing about Vancouver: Being so close to a wide variety of mountains to snowboard on in winter and beautiful lakes to camp next to over summer. The lakes are actually surprisingly warm to swim in!
